Elder Tree Capital was built by a team of scientists who kept noticing the same thing from inside the lab: the markets with the largest, most persistent inefficiencies were the ones no one wanted to model. Too fragmented to index, too unglamorous to chase, too operationally messy for a clean spreadsheet.
As disruptive innovation began to re-architect how entire industries operate, that gap became an opportunity worth building a firm around. The same fragmentation that kept capital away is exactly what makes disciplined selection valuable — and exactly where a technology-driven operator can pull away from the field.
So we built Elder Tree to do one thing well: grow the branches where disruption is taking hold, underwrite the operators already flourishing there, and bring our investors in alongside them.

Every thesis is written down and tested against data before conviction. Evidence outranks narrative.
Hunt the tail, not the mean
Index logic rewards the average. We deliberately seek the outliers — companies whose performance the consensus has no clean way to price.
Underwrite the operator
In disrupted markets, execution is the moat. We weight the quality and durability of the team as heavily as the market math.
Align through structure
